As a Host, you can send Broadcast messages to reach multiple Hipcampers at once. This is a great way to re-engage past guests, share updates with upcoming campers, or communicate with Hipcampers currently on your Property.
Reasons you might want to send a Broadcast:
- Announce seasonal openings or availability
- Share updates or improvements to your Property
- Promote special offers or discounts
- Communicate important information to on-site Hipcampers
When should I use Broadcasts vs Scheduled Messages?
- Use Broadcasts for one-time updates or announcements to groups of Hipcampers
- Use Scheduled Messages for automated, repeatable communication tied to bookings (like arrival instructions or reminders)
Important things to know:
- You can send Broadcasts to:
- Past Hipcampers
- This is limited to 1 broadcast every 60 days
- Upcoming Hipcampers
- Current Hipcampers
- Past Hipcampers
- Broadcasts cannot be edited or undone after sending
Tips for sending great Broadcasts:
- Keep messages clear, friendly, and relevant to your audience
- Use Broadcasts sparingly, especially for past Hipcampers
- Focus on helpful updates, not just promotions
- Double-check your message before sending, since Broadcasts cannot be undone
How to send a Broadcast:
- Head to your Hipcamp Inbox
- Navigate to the Broadcasts tab
- Click New broadcast
- Select your audience:
- Past Hipcampers
- Upcoming Hipcampers
- Current Hipcampers
- Add a title and write your message
- (Optional) Click Attach files to include images, PDFs, or documents
- Click Preview to review your message
- (Optional) Send a test message to yourself
- Click Send to deliver your Broadcast
Your message will be sent to all selected Hipcampers.
