As a Host, you can now report spam or solicitation messages directly from your Hipcamp Inbox to help us catch and shut down spam more quickly!
If you receive a message the appears suspicious or solicitation-based, please use the tool by following the instructions below.
Please note, this tool is currently only available on the Hipcamp website on an internet browser on your device. You will not be able to report a message from the Hipcamp app.
To report a message:
- Navigate to your Hipcamp Inbox and click on the conversation thread with the user
- Hover over the message
- Click the Report link located under the message text
- Select the reason you are reporting the message (Fraud, Solicitation, or Spam)
- Click Report
If the system has flagged a message as potential spam or fraud, you will see a warning label below the message (see example below). Please note that the absence of a warning does not mean a message should be trusted. Please use your judgement and report anything suspicious using the steps above.
