If Hipcamp placed a booking with your campground and the camper needs to cancel, we’ll handle the entire process for you. This article explains how cancellations work when your listing hasn’t been verified and bookings are being placed by the Hipcamp team on your behalf.
✅ If a camper wants to cancel
Campers can cancel their booking by contacting Hipcamp Support directly. Once we receive their request, we’ll reach out to you to cancel the reservation through your normal process—whether that’s via your online system, over the phone, or through your property management software (PMS).
We’ll never cancel or refund a booking without checking in with you first.
✅ What you can expect from us
- We’ll always contact you first before cancelling or refunding a reservation.
- You won’t need to deal with camper communication or payment processing directly.
- All refunds are managed through Hipcamp using our own payment method.
- Your existing policies are respected.
