The Hipcamp Inbox is your central place for managing communication with Hipcampers! We’ll walk you through the different features available within the Inbox below.
Sending messages (left)
There are three ways to send messages on Hipcamp:

Messages: One-to-one conversation threads with specific Hipcampers

Broadcasts: Updates or announcements to mass groups of Hipcampers (find out more)
- Scheduled messages: Automated, repeatable communication tied to bookings, like arrival instructions or check-out information (find out more)
Click the ( + ) button to send a new message. Then select your chosen message type.
Viewing your message history (left)
On the left side of the Inbox, you can browse all message threads with Hipcampers. Threads are ordered by most recent activity, with the newest messages appearing at the top.
At the top of the thread list, you can search for a conversation by Hipcamper name. You can also filter messages by selecting All and choosing one of the following options from the dropdown menu:
- Unread
- Pending
- Future
- Past
- Questions
Message content (center)
In the center panel of the Inbox, you can view the full message history for the Hipcamper selected from the thread list.
If a Hipcamper has a confirmed booking, you can send them attachments by clicking the paperclip icon.
Viewing booking details (right)
On the right side of the screen, you’ll find booking details for that Hipcamper’s trip, including their contact information, the site they booked, booking dates, and your earnings for the booking. You can also see whether they are a returning Hipcamper.
An easy way to see a Hipcamper's profile
At the top of the message thread in the center, you can click on the Hipcamper's name to see their profile.
