If a Host can't accommodate you or asks you to cancel, please let the Host know that they should cancel on their end. They have the ability to cancel bookings and this will ensure that the refund is processed correctly.
If the Host is having trouble canceling the booking, please contact the Support team. You should include any relevant documentation including messages or texts with the Host, etc. Our Support team processes full refunds in these cases, including all fees, and works with Hipcampers to find similar spots that are available during the dates that they had booked.
Please note that if the Host never responds to your booking request and your booking request expires, then the pending charge on your card will fall off and you will not be charged. It may take up to 7 days for that pending charge to fall off, but rest assured that you will not be charged!
