As a Host, you are able to choose from numerous different cancellation policy options. Your cancellation policy determines the timeframe that a camper is eligible to receive a refund when they cancel their booking.
To update your cancellation policy:
- Click on Property from your Host Dashboard or the Property tab on the app
- Click on Sites located next to ‘Property’
- Click Edit next to the site you would like to edit
- Click on Booking Details on the left side of the screen
- Click Edit
- Scroll down until you see Cancellation Policy
- Click Done
You can choose from the following different cancellation policy options:
- Super Flexible - If a Hipcamper cancels anytime before their check in day and time, they’ll receive a full refund (minus Hipcamp fees).
- Flexible - If a Hipcamper cancels at least 24 hours before their check in day and time, they’ll receive a full refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If they cancel less than 24 hours before check in, there will be no refund.
- Moderate - If a Hipcamper cancels at least 3 days before their check in day and time, they’ll receive a full refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If they cancel within the 3 days before check in, there will be no refund.
- Strict - If a camp cancels at least 1 week before your check in day and time, they’ll receive a full refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If they cancel within the 1 week before check in, there will be no refund.
- Strict (14 days) - If a camp cancels at least 14 days before your check in day and time, they’ll receive a full refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If they cancel within the 14 days before check in, there will be no refund.
- Strict (21 days) - If a camp cancels at least 21 days before your check in day and time, they’ll receive a full refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If they cancel within the 21 days before check in, there will be no refund.
- Super Strict - If a Hipcamper cancels at least 1 week before their check in day and time, they’ll receive a 50% refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If they cancel within 1 week before check in, there will be no refund.
- Super Strict (30 days) - If they cancel at least 30 days before your check in day and time, they’ll receive a 50% refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If they cancel within 30 days before check in, there will be no refund.
Please note: Bookings made before you update the cancellation policy will retain the policy at the time of booking.
