Stripe requires Hipcamp Hosts to provide specific information when setting up a Stripe account. This information should be accurate (It is used to issue Form 1099-K for U.S. Hosts).
Periodically, you will also be asked to update your Stripe information per Know Your Customer obligations. Hipcamp will send an email when this is required and a banner will be shown on the website when you need to update this information in order to not have any payout interruptions.
You are able to edit the information you provided to Stripe from your Host Dashboard on the website. This includes:
- Personal Stripe account: Legal name, date of birth and a form of ID
- Business Stripe account: Business name and tax ID
- Business website or a description of what you offer - this can simply be a link to your Hipcamp Listing.
Please note, if you need to change your Stripe Business type, or your Stripe account type from a Personal account to a Business account (or vice versa), the Hipcamp Support team can assist with this.

How to update your Stripe account details
- Head to your Payouts page
- Select Manage payouts and taxes on the lefthand side
- Click the Review button
- Review and edit your information
- Click Confirm to save changes
