Instructions for setting a discount for longer stays
- Go to your Property page (on desktop) or the Property tab (in the app).
- Click on Units
- Select the Unit you’d like to update.
- Scroll down in the left menu, click Pricing
- Under Discounts click on Long-term Stay Discount
- Enter a percentage discount or use the scroll tool and select the minimum number of nights required.
- Don’t forget to hit Save!
Example: If you set a 10% discount for stays of 3 nights or more, a 4-night booking at £50 per night (£200 total) would be reduced to £180.
How do booking modifications work with this feature?
- If a camper extends their booking and becomes eligible for your discount, Hipcamp will automatically apply the discount and the camper will be charged the difference.
- If a camper shortens their booking and no longer qualifies for the discount, their total will be recalculated to remove both the extra night and the discount.
How does this discount interact with special pricing on the Calendar?
If you have special pricing set on your Calendar, the length-of-stay discount will apply to those special nightly rates rather than your base price.
Example: If Friday night is set at £80 on your Calendar, and you’ve set a 10% discount for 3+ nights, then the £80 rate will also be discounted as part of an eligible booking.
