That's a great question! A lot of Hosts on Hipcamp provide their whole property for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, or other larger group camping trips. It makes for some truly magical experiences when a group of Hipcampers can enjoy your property all to themselves. Here's how you can get started.
Create a new Site under your existing property
To help make a smoother checkout for Hipcampers, it's best to have one Site they can book with all the details so they don't have to book each Site you already have listed individually. Our guide here can walk you through this process: How do I add an additional designated Site or an additional structure?
When making your new Site, it's important to make it clear to other Hipcampers that this is a booking for the entire property. Make sure to name it clearly, add the total number of Hipcampers you can accommodate at once, and structure your pricing in a way that makes sense.
Sync all of your live Sites together
Properly syncing your Sites together allows Hipcampers to book your whole property without the worry of other Hipcampers booking your other Sites at the same time. If you receive a booking on the whole property Site, it will automatically update and block off availability on the calendars of your other sites (and vice versa).
This can be done all within the Hipcamp External Calendar page. A step-by-step guide to walk you through the process of syncing your Sites together can be found here: How do I sync my Hipcamp Sites together?
Common questions about offering your whole property on Hipcamp
Am I covered by Insurance?
Yes. All standard terms of the Hipcamp Insurance Policy still apply for group bookings.
What if I don’t have multiple toilets?
If you're hosting a group, it's essential to ensure you have an ample number of toilets available. Many Hosts collaborate with local portable toilet rental companies to supply additional restroom facilities for events. You can choose to include this in your pricing or offer it as an optional extra for groups to add on.
Is it fine if I reside on the property?
Absolutely! We just wouldn’t want any other campers/reservations on the property.
