To make the most of your shoot day, please take the following steps:
- Communicate directly with the photographer to make sure they have clear arrival instructions, and to know when they’ll be arriving. If you have multiple sites, make sure to tell them which is the site they should focus on.
- If you have an RV or tent site, mow the grass, put yard tools away, and clear the site so that it’s ready for staging.
- If you are having a glamping site or cabin photographed, be sure it’s bright and welcoming inside- all lights are on, window shades are open, and bed is made.
- While the photographer is on site, it can be helpful to give them a quick lay of the land so they know where all the various sites are, but try not to spend more than 15-20 min explaining things. Photographers need to move quickly to make the most of the best light and it can be hard to chat and shoot at the same time.
