Each year we require our Hosts to update their Insurance information to determine if they are still eligible for the Hipcamp Insurance Policy. This involves answering 4 simple yes/no questions from your Insurance tab.
As long as you meet the requirements:
- Never have been convicted of a felony;
- Have no homeowner’s or renter's liability claims against you in the past 3 years;
- Not be a Commercial Campground;
then you are covered under our Insurance plan that would protect you against liability claims that could be made by Hipcampers.
Hosts will receive an email notification when it is almost time to renew their Insurance information by answering the questions.
How to update your Insurance information:
- Navigate to your Property tab on the Host Dashboard or the app
- Scroll down to Insurance and Verification on the left-hand side
- Click “Change my coverage”
- Review and update your answers
- Check the box to authorize a background check
- Finally, hit “Save"
Alternatively, you can update your Insurance information by hovering on Host Dashboard and selecting “Insurance” from the dropdown menu.
