Do you want to charge additional vehicles a fee?
Hosts can set the maximum number of vehicles allowed per site and choose how many vehicles are included in the standard nightly rate. An “extra vehicle fee” can then be applied for additional vehicles (per night), up to the established limit.
For example, each of Mary’s Hipcamp sites can accommodate up to four vehicles, but she only wants to include two in the standard nightly price. Mary can then set a per-vehicle fee for any additional cars beyond the first two. The image below shows how she configured this.
Important: The vehicle fee is a ‘per night’ fee so is applied to each night of a booking.
Instructions for setting up an extra vehicle fee
- Head to your Property page or the Property tab on the app
- Click on Sites
- Click on the site you would like to edit
- Scroll down and click on Pricing on the left
- Scroll down on the right until you see Additional charges
- Click on ‘Extra vehicle fee’
- Set the price per additional vehicle and when you would like to apply the fee. You will also be able to see and adjust the maximum number of vehicles you allow per site
- Don’t forget to hit Save!
