Setting up and managing Extras
- On your Host Dashboard, scroll to the 'Extras' section and click 'Manage Extras' or click the Extras link in the header dropdown outside of your Dashboard.
- From here, you can create brand new Extras or manage existing ones.
- For each Extra, you can set a name, description, price (per item, per person or per night), and the max number of Extras available to any Hipcamper booking a stay on your property. Extras can be turned on or off at any time at both the property and site level.
How pricing for Extras works
- Per item: If you choose to set a per item Extra, the cost for the camper will be the price you set X the number of units selected by the camper when booking.
- Per night: If you choose to set a per night Extra, the cost will be the number of nights on the booking X the price you set X the number of units selected.
E.g. Host offers a per night camping chair extra for $5. A camper has booked for 4 nights and wants to rent 2 chairs so selected 2 units of the extra. They will be charged:
$5 x 4 nights x 2 units = $40. - Per person: If you choose to set a per person extra, the cost will be the number of people on the booking X the price you set X the number of units selected.
E.g. Host offers a per person Yoga Class for $10. A booking with 2 people has booked 2 units (classes). They will be charged:
$10 x 2 people x 2 units = $40.

Managing Extras on your upcoming bookings
As a Hipcamp Host, you have control over your Extras availability and quantities for upcoming bookings until the time of Hipcamper check-in. You can manage this in your Calendar—simply click on a booking and look for the Extra section near the bottom of the booking panel to manage the quantity.
At this time, you can only manage the quantities of Extras that Hipcampers purchased at the time of checkout—you can add or remove units from Extras they purchased, but brand new Extras can't yet be added post-booking.
You can either have your extra set to available or unavailable - currently it's not an option to allocate a certain number of an extra to a particular date or number of bookings.

You will be able to respond to the request via your email or push notification by hitting "Accept Extras" or "Decline Extras."
