Hipcamp is excited to release a new search feature on desktop and mobile web that allows you to search for Hipcamps between two destinations on the Hipcamp map. Enter your starting and ending points, and the map will connect the two points and show options for Hipcamps within 30 minutes of your custom search route.
This feature is in Beta mode, which means it’s a bit limited as we learn how Hipcampers use it to expand the functionality. We’d love to hear your feedback!
Where can I find the Roadtrip search option?
You can access the feature here! Or, in the search bar, hit “Where to” and you’ll see an option to toggle between “Destination” and “Roadtrip.” Select “Roadtrip,” then enter your starting and ending locations. You can also add the number of guests.
You can then search along the route using map layers and use filters to find specific amenities and camping styles along the way, as you can with any Hipcamp search.
Can I add stops along the way?
Yes! On desktop, drag any point on the route to change it, adding up to 10 waypoints for a custom roadtrip route. This is not available on mobile web.
Can I save and/or share my search?
The URL of your search saves it, so you can copy and paste it elsewhere to share.
Why can’t I enter an address?
Right now you can only search between pre-populated points of interest that include cities, national parks, state parks, public lands, and other major landmarks.
Can you do a Roadtrip search on the app?
This is a web-based feature only for now.
