Creating a Hipcamp listing is free, simple, and can take as little as 10 minutes. Once complete, you can start earning straight away. Follow these steps to get started
Step 1: Sign Up as a Host
To create a Hipcamp listing, you first need to sign up as a Host:
- Visit Hipcamp’s Host Sign-Up Page.
- On the form provided, enter basic details such as your name, email, and phone number.
- Click Get Started and follow the prompts to create your account.
- Once registered, you’ll be directed to start setting up your property.
Step 2: Create Your Property
Your property is the overarching listing that contains all your available camping pitches or glamping structures.
- Complete your property address or locate it on the map (exact location will only be shared with booked guests).
- Provide a rough estimate of how many acres your land covers.
- Provide a property name and write a brief description.
- Upload property photos to showcase the land and help attract campers.
- Complete your ID, insurance, and payment details so you can get paid securely.
Step 3: Add Units to Your Property
Once your property is set up, you’ll need to add individual units. These are the camping pitches or glamping structures that guests can book.
- Go to the Units tab and click + Add new.
- Name the unit (e.g., "Lakeside Tent Spot" or "Forest Cabin") and write a description.
- Set unit capacity (how many guests can stay per booking) and your pricing.
- List available amenities (toilets, showers, fire pits, picnic tables, etc.).
- Add access information and write your arrival instructions.
- Add photos specific to the unit.
If you have more than one unit, you can repeat this process. You’ll be given the option to create a completely new unit each time or duplicate an existing unit to speed up the process.
Step 4: Publish Your Listing & Start Hosting!
- Review your listing for accuracy.
- Click Publish to make your property live.
- Start accepting bookings and welcoming campers!
