If a camper creates a booking, booking request, or starts a conversation via Hipcamp Messages, Hosts are not allowed to suggest that the camper book with them outside of Hipcamp. Hosts are not allowed to add text in their listing to direct campers to book outside of Hipcamp. Hosts are not allowed to cancel bookings with the purpose of having the camper book their property elsewhere.
All conversations with campers should be kept in Hipcamp Messages for a clear and accurate record of communications that relate to a trip.
We work hard at Hipcamp to bring new and returning campers to the site and app, and we expect campers that find you via Hipcamp to book there so that we can continue to invest in the marketplace to keep getting you future bookings.
When we become aware of violations, we will reach out to ensure Hosts understand these rules. Failure to abide by these rules will result in account suspensions.
