Setting a check-in window and checkout time
As a Host, you can customize the check-in and check-out times for each of your units. Setting clear times helps manage arrivals and departures smoothly and ensures a positive experience for both you and your Hipcampers.
You can also define a check-in window, which requires Hipcampers to arrive within a specific timeframe. These details will be displayed on your unit pages so guests know what to expect before booking.
How to Update Your Check-in and Check-out Times:
- Head to your Property page or the Property tab on the app
- Click on Units located next to ‘Property’
- Click Edit next to the Unit you would like to edit
- Click on Booking details on the left side of the screen
- Click Edit
- Scroll down until you see Check-in window and check out before
- Select the times from the dropdown menu
- Click Done
Offering early check-in or late checkout
Want to offer Hipcampers more flexibility? You can allow early check-in or late checkout for an additional fee. This is optional, but it can be a great way to provide extra convenience while generating more revenue.
If enabled, Hipcampers can select these options when booking, and the fee will be applied automatically.
How to Add Flexible Check-in or Checkout:
- Head to your Property page or the Property tab on the app
- Click on Units located next to ‘Property’
- Click Edit next to the Unit you would like to edit
- Click on Booking details on the left side of the screen
- Click Edit
- Scroll down until you see Flexible Check-in window
- Hit the toggle to select how early campers can arrive and add the fee
- Scroll down until you see Late checkout
- Select how much later campers can checkout and add the fee
- Click Done
