Signing up and listing your property on Hipcamp is 100% free. There are no setup fees, no monthly contracts, and no hidden costs—just a simple way to start earning from your land.
A small commission is charged on bookings
Once you start hosting Hipcampers, Hipcamp takes a 12.5% plus VAT commission on your earnings, Stripe charges a small processing fee of 1.4%+20p, and you keep the balance.
What the commission covers
This fee helps support and grow the Hipcamp community, including:
- Secure payment processing: Via Stripe, a trusted and secure payment provider.
- Marketing efforts to get you more bookings: We’re focused on email and social media ad campaigns, brand partnerships, SEO marketing, PR campaigns, and expanding awareness at industry events
- Insurance coverage: Up to $1M in protection (or $10M AUD for Australian Hosts) through our complimentary insurance policy.
- Dedicated support: Assistance 7 days a week from local Hipcamp Guides.
- Advocacy: On the ground policy work to protect your right to host
