To make the most of your shoot day, please take the following steps:
- Communicate directly with the photographer to make sure they have clear arrival instructions, and to know when they’ll be arriving. If you have multiple pitches, make sure to tell them which is the pitch they should focus on.
- If you have an caravan or tent pitch, mow the grass, put tools away, and clear the area so that it’s ready for staging.
- If you are having a glamping site or cabin photographed, be sure it’s bright and welcoming inside- all lights are on, window shades are open, and bed is made.
- While the photographer is on site, it can be helpful to give them a quick lay of the land so they know where all the various pitches are, but try not to spend more than 15-20 minutes explaining things. Photographers need to move quickly to make the most of the best light and it can be hard to chat and shoot at the same time.
