We’ve found that the following categories of images are helpful for Hipcampers to determine whether your site is a fit for their needs:
- Site overview
- A simple, warm, bright overview shot of the site itself.
- Remember: this image is what people see first when scrolling through the search results
- Nature features on the property
- Overviews, not closeups
- Lakes, ponds, forest trails, pastures, anything areas of your property that are special!
- Activities on the property
- Fishing, hiking, kayaking, etc.
- Show animals Hipcampers can meet on your property
- Site from a distance
- Gives extra context about what is directly around the site. Is there a pond just off to the side? Is it in a forest? Is it in the wide open desert? Is the neighbor’s house a few yards away? Hipcampers will want to know what they’re booking!
- Include some additional images of other things on the property (like your house in relation to the site, if applicable) to set better expectations. You don’t have to order these images at the front
- Amenities
- Bathroom
- Firewood
- Water spigot
- etc.
- Self-portrait at your site (optional)
- Reminds people that they’re supporting a local landowner!
- Provides a friendly face that feels welcoming
- The approach to your property
- Parking options
- Road conditions
