When you move your account to Hipcamp Australia, one of the first things you will need to consider is your pricing. The Hipcamp pricing model works slightly differently to what you were used to on Youcamp.
Price per site
Hipcamp Australia prices are priced per site, plus a per person charge for any additional guests. When you move your account to Hipcamp, you will need to review and possibly adjust your pricing to fit this model. How do I change my price?
Child pricing is not currently an available feature, with any additional guests being charged at the same rate, regardless of age. It is however a high priority for development!
This was an option Youcamp had, but the Hipcamp platform did not, and it is a large development job. This has been called to the forefront based on host feedback. We are listening, taking all feedback on board, and taking action where/when we can.
Price large sites with families in mind
You can now offer 'kids stay free'
You can mention this deal in your listing description too for maximum impact!
Group and family discounts
Set up a separate Children's Priced listing
You could set up a new listing for guests to book their children in that is priced specifically for children. Like this host, who has set up a listing with adult rates and a separate listing with children rates.
Here is a guide to creating a new listing on your property.
My campsite is popular with single travellers, rather than families. How can I price for them?
You can still have per person pricing if you wish, you’ll just need to enter it as $X per site for 1 person, and $X for additional guests.
