Below learn how to change the status of your unit on the Hipcamp website. To learn how to do this on the mobile app, check out this article: How can I manage my Hosting profile on the app?
Pausing or Deactivating:
Pausing your unit will keep it live on Hipcamp, but no Hipcampers will be able to make a booking, as your calendar will be closed off.
Deactivating your unit will completely remove it from Hipcamp, but you will be able to bring it back in the future if you choose to do so.
You can also block days on your calendar if you would like to block specific dates from receiving bookings.
Follow these steps to choose what is right for you:
- Click the Property tab at the top of your Host Dashboard
- Click on Units located next to ‘Overview’
- Click Edit next to the site you would like to edit
- At the top of the screen you will see Unit status
- Select the drop-down menu under Unit status and select the status you wish to change to
You'll be able to pause indefinitely or until a certain date. You can choose to deactivate by selecting the 'deactivate' option
Reactivating your site:
When you're ready to re-open your Hipcamp, you can do so by following these steps:
- Click the Property tab at the top of your Host Dashboard
- Click on Units located next to ‘Overview’
- Click on Deactivated units at the bottom of the screen
- Click Edit next to the site you would like to reactivate
- Select the drop-down menu under Unit status which is currently deactivated
- Select Open
- Your site will be immediately reactivated
