If you have multiple, similar dispersed Units, you may want to increase or decrease the number of Units. Dispersed Units mean that guests will choose a place to camp within your permitted area upon arrival. Campers don’t choose a specific Unit from the number of dispersed Units during the booking process.
Note: If you would like to add a designated Unit (a specific Unit that campers can choose when booking), you need to create a new Unit. Instructions here: How do I add an additional designated Unit or an additional structure?
How to increase or decrease the number of dispersed Units on the Hipcamp website
- Click on Property from your Host Dashboard
- Click on Units located next to ‘Overview’
- Click Edit next to the Unit you would like to edit
- Click on Unit Pricing & Capacity on the left side of the screen
- You will see the question ‘How many separate bookings can this area accommodate at one time?’
- Update the number of dispersed Units
How to add more dispersed Units on the app
- Tap on the Property tab at the bottom of the app home screen
- Select Manage dispersed Units
- Add or remove Units by clicking the + or -
- Click Continue
Congratulations, you now have more bookable Units!
Note: We recommend keeping camper comfort and privacy in mind when adding new Units. A good rule of thumb: limit to 3 Units per acre.
